Spring Training 2023 Surprise

Who/What would be a ST surprise that would benefit the Padres the most in 2023 and beyond?

I feel like Michel Baez has kind of become the forgotten man in the pitching prospect conversation. He was really good outside of the PCL last year. I think he could put himself back in the conversation this spring.
Outside of a young starter emerging the one obvious thing that would help us would be for an outfielder to step up in the early going. It sounds like Soto will probably be in LF with Grisham in CF. They probably don't want Carpenter in RF everyday. They could let the rest of the offense carry a glove first option like Engel or Azocar, but Dahl getting back on track or someone like Kohlwey emerging would be big.

Former Padres #19 round pick AJ Brown quits the Eagles after a frustrating Super Bowl loss and tells AJ Preller he wants to dedicate the rest of his athletic career playing for the Padres! Now that would be a spring training surprise but of course it's not going to happen. Very entertaining Super Bowl to watch, however.
