Bogaerts may not be worth $25MM but he is currently #14 WAR SS and #7 dWAR SS. The would be hard to replace in 2027 plus giving up the #1 trade chip in Miller for zero makes little sense UNLESS trying to reduce payroll.

Same lineup as yesterday with Fermin in for Campusano. I think it's time they move France, Andujar and Campusano (when he's in there) up on the order. Drop Bogaerts and Merrill down. We can't afford to keep going with the deferential treatment to our big money players while they struggle right now. Let the guys who are actually hitting get more opportunities. Merrill and Bogaerts can earn their way back up.

Also like to see Sheets full time at 1B. See Ty drop balls or not getting to balls because his glove is on the wrong hand.
That said, Ty really has no other defensive position. And his bat is definitely needed.
Full time DH, trade Andujar.

Well, that was fun! France and Merrill padding their HR totals late, too.
All you guys suggesting getting rid of Ty are stoned!!This team needs bats, we don't need to trade them away! Plus Ty is an SD guy, good for the fans. Plus, plus, he won't cost too much. Plus, plus, plus he does have some defensive flexibility( MAYBE 2B or 3B in a pinch???).
And Song continues to impress. This is a totally different player from ST. Certainly looks to have as much bat skill as Kim( ? about power) I hope Jake continues to show well before the trade deadline, well enough for someone to take a chance on him🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽.
And nice to see Vasquez pitch 3 solid innings 💪🏽

19-2. Why can't the Padres hit that well all the time. The BP was solid. It was nice that Vasquez pitched well going 3 scoreless innings.
The Padres head to Atlanta for a 4-game set. They swept them at Petco.
