The Padres are riding high after coming off back-to-back sweeps and a 7-game winning streak. Last April, the Padres swept the Rockies in a 4-game series at Petco Park. Can they do it again at Coors Field? Stay tuned.
Now, they are heading to dreaded Coors Field, Colorado for the final time to face the Rockies for the last time this season. in a 4-game series.
The Padres will have a chance to pass the Cubs for at least the 2nd spot in the wild card race, because the Cubs will play the Braves.
The Padres have 13 games remaining and would have to go 9-4 to reach 90 wins.

Gotta win this series and the next( don't have to sweep but it would be nice!). If we go 3-1, 2-1( 5-2) all we'll really need is to split with the Duds and Snakes(3-3) in order to get to 90 wins. And 90 wins will get us to the next round👍🏽

While it would be nice to win this series, as seen last night, playing in Denver is rough. With the length of our win streak, odds, and playing in Denver I would be happy with a split.
And then make up that 3rd win you want either against the Marlins or the DBacks for the 90th win of the season.

I think Hays just tied a MLB HR record, recording the 3rd HR to lead off an inning in a single game by a team.
Anyone verify this?

The Padres lost. But, so did the Phillies, Cubs and Dbacks.
Padres need to win tomorrow.
