Keep The Faith!
GO PADRES!

Nice bounce back win. Just saw that Salas is reportedly getting the call. I'm excited to see him. I haven't seen anything about which arm they're going to add. I read that Musgrove is likely going to make another rehab start, so it'll probably be Brito or Jacob.

Would throw in Hunter Stratton (who is on the 40 man) who actually has pitched better than Brito or Jacob in the past 30 days (BAA, WHIP). Just hard to tell with PCL stats who is really throwing well.

Probably a short week long stint until Musgrove is added ... so maybe the opponents in that timeframe will have an impact on the type of arm the want.

The Padres need to win today. The Yankees are next at home

Agreed.

Losing 6 out of 8 is not going to get it done.

Casey Mize has been a massive disappointment so far.

Casey Mize has been a massive disappointment so far.

And except for his 1st AB, Hays has not been much better. He sure looked lost in RF today. I know not everyone can rob HRs like Tatis or Merrill; however, on one flyball it looked like he was at least 5' to the side of where the ball left the field.

Mize has certainly not been worth what we gave up for him. Still, he has about 5 more starts to change our minds. And if he can't, I'm guessing we fall short of the playoffs.

Any comments on Salas?

How'd he look?

Looked OK behind the plate ... moved well ... no real challenges.

Offensively looked like a Padre ... one long fly ball, one ground out, K swinging, K looking.

Too small a sample to draw any conclusions.
