Padres vs Rockies

So the Pads come home after a brutal road trip and face off against the Rockies.

Lamet gets the start tonight so here is hoping that the bats get going and the Pads can string together some crooked numbers and get a win or two.

Luchessi and Lauer finish out the series on the mound for San Diego. Last month of the season and seems like more questions now than coming out of Spring Training.....the post - mortem can wait until the season is over. Hopefully there will be some opinions that generate some discussion

I went fishing and missed putting up a "Padres vs Diamondbacks" game thread......not that anybody noticed 🙂

Go Pads !!!!!

We noticed.

But the big question is..........did you catch anything?

"Not that anybody noticed"??? How long have we been married? And there will be no post-mortem. Our team is just a newborn baby. You have to wait until at least puberty before you start criticizing the help out of it and crush its spirit! Lamet is looking better and better. Our pitching is looking better than I expected, and I am an optimist! Give this team some time. We will be very good in a year or two. Remember, we were never expected to compete this year.

If AG keeps Naylor in the OF after that at bat, he is the dumbest manager in all baseball. That includes all the dumbass Little League coaches I have met as well.

I have been saying that....his bat is not all that, his defense is worse and now his body language is so negative.....I get it that he is left handed but if he was so good then why did they claim Martini ?

Jankowski is history as he is for whatever reason in Andy Greens dog house or at least the Do Not Play list

Andy Green is NOT the guy to lead this team going forward....his lineups are garbage and his use of players is worse than garbage......I am not a fan at all

Do you really think that all this team needs is a lineup adjustment to win? Jankowski will give you much better defense but no offense. Honestly, I think that everyone on the field has just packed it in for the year already. Once we fell out of playoff contention this team just died. We still get great pitching performances because guys are still fighting for their spots in the rotation, but our offense has given up.

AG is dead man walking. Hope they don't need around and just cut him loose early in off season. That said, he is being told who to play and where.  Sitting Margot makes no sense and neither does Urias at SS vs Machado unless they are trying to get long look at Urias at SS and have an agenda re Myers (rebuild value with strong finish?).

Shouldn't we be rooting for weak finish for draft purposes anyway?

That may have just been the best inning of any Padre pitcher this season.

Which inning are you referring to Mr. P?

Inning #1.

Joey strikes out the side....all looking....on 12 pitches.
