These guys are too good to continue in their collective funk and they will come out of it. With that said I have always been a firm believer in Bio Rythm's and when a guy gets hot it can usually trace back to the three things that make up a Bio Rythm and then when they go into a slump it's a sign that they are at a low on at least one of the three with the emotion facet being the biggest culprit.

Sounds silly but I've seen it happen for years...these guys just need to turn the page and go back to basics...take the ball back up the middle and expand the field once they get dialed back in.

The Padres get a win last night to end a 5 game skid and nobody has anything to say. Darvish comes back and throws 5 innings and looked good...Morejon and De Los Santos got knocked around but Matsui was nails and Suarez gets his 10th save of the season...just straight gas that reached 100 mph on more than one occasion.

Machado knocks in three and Profar just keeps doing his thing...obviously he just plays very well for the Padres.

Hopefully today they can follow up last night with a day game win and Musgrove rebounds from a rough last outing. Should be a nice day at Petco and will be even better if the boys bring the bats and barrel a few up.

On the other hand with only 20% of the season in if they just hover around .500 just one good winning streak at any point will lift them to enough wins to get to the playoffs. So, not to worry … yet.

Have to be surprised that Profar and Cronenwoth are carrying the offense so far with support from Campusano and Merrill. The “cornerstones” are not delivering … Machado, Tatis, Bogaerts, and Kim … they SHOULD be better but will the current surprising contributors simultaneously fade … and will the net be better or the same? Will the core not only get better but will they get to (or near) the high expectations?

No way to know but that is why they play the season.
