I'm excited about Estrada. Dude has been an absolute ASSASSIN down in AAA. 8.2 ip, 4h, 2er, and a 20:3 k:bb ratio.

So, Manny back … Batten optioned

Estrada up … Vasquez optioned

Agree that seeing Estrada will be very interesting given his EP work this season.

Opens up a question on Darvish’s return … if on schedule for next Tuesday who gets optioned off the staff? If not does Brito or Morejon get the spot start?

Shouldn’t be too long until we see Solano (probably when Manny gets back to 3B on a daily basis) … don’t see optioning Rosario, Wade, or Azocar … so Pauley has to be on the bubble unless in his next few appearances he really starts to hit at DH.

Maybe all we be clearer next Tuesday.

Pauley may have earned a stay of execution with the HR off Nola (and earlier in the game just missed a HR off Nola). Certainly a boost for his confidence. Apparently Manny will go between 3B and DH for awhile yet … so some 3B coverage will linger. From a defensive standpoint the options probably rank: Rosario, Wade, Pauley … don’t think Solano is a defensive option.

Another bat can’t cover the poor production for Bogaerts - Machado - Tatis … sort of boils down on offense to winning if they produce / losing if they don’t.

Actually getting more concerned about the SP …. Musgrove has been bad, Darvish has been spotty and injured (again at his age a lingering issue), King has shown a lot of weakness in his starts, and Waldron has a good chance of being exposed as the word gets around the league.

If what they have can’t deliver … doubt any one add will turn the tide.
