As MrP pointed out there's a thunderstorm passing through Cleveland. The game today could be postponed.

Are they still doing 7 inning games for double headers, or are we back to two full nine inning games this season?

Back to the full nine.

MLB game of the day.....FREE on the app!

I just turned the game on ... saw Manny hit 2-run laser beam HR ... then Hosmer makes an out on a SCREAMING liner that the 1Bman snagged ...

Think it may be time for the Padres to move on from Beaty with an .063 BA. Can’t live with that even he is the LHH bench option.

Padres have Mazara in EP who should be an upgrade as the LHH option … would not take much to be better.

An Enyel De Los Santos sighting ...

I only got to watch a bit of the game ... report I got from a friend who saw more is ... Clevinger looked better than his line ended up ... several swings and misses ... velo was down a little ... all and all pretty good.

Yeh, he did look good except his slider is still a little off. However, his other stuff was strong.

Melvin let him stay out in the 5th as he only had yielded one run and his pitch count was still in the 70s but Clevinger seemed to lose some command (a couple of walks) in the 5th and got pulled with 2 outs at about 95 pitches. Wilson came in and blew the save costing Clevinger the last two runs. Think Melvin really wanted him to go the full 5 for the win but 95 pitches on his return is a good stretch out.

Personnally like watching Clevinger pitch … he is just entertaining beyond being good. Looks close to being pitcher he was in Cleveland and that bodes well for the Padres.
