Kind of wish Quantrill was going tonight, or Clevinger tomorrow. It would have been interesting to see the two face off, considering they were traded for each other.

If that deal were just those 2, we'd still lose that trade.
Quantril has turned into a quality pitcher.

Quantril is a decent pitcher, but will never be what Clevinger was when we traded for him. It was good trade, at the time. Unfortunately Clevinger got injured.

Meh.....Clevinger did have some success in Cleveland whilst Quantril was beginning to look like a major league starter.
Trades are always best judged after the players have been in their new surroundings ( otherwise James Shields for Tatis looks good on paper when it's made)
GM's are paid for their insight as much as anything.
In hindsight, as of now, bad trade. If we resign Clevinger and he helps us win a pennant of any kind, good trade( see Kevin Brown for Derek Lee)

Probably a good trade (at the time) with a poor outcome over the timeline of all the players.

Yu's going on the paternity list. His wife gave birth to a healthy boy yesterday. Snell is starting in his place tomorrow.
