Padres vs Dodgers - Part Deux

So the Dodgers come back into town and yes it had that playoff baseball feeling about it but it seemed that the vibe mellowed out after Manny put the Padres up 4-0 in the first....Darvish was in command all night, even the pitch that Betts smoked,was a good pitch and then my boy Jake does what he does and just hit a rope into the stands.....the Dodgers just looked tired and looked like they really would rather be anywhere but facing a hot Padres team right now. Good pitching and defense with some timely ABs is always a good reciepe for a win.
Sidenote.....It was so nice to see a Padre dominant crowd at a Padre v Dodger game at Petco......too many times in the past there was way to much Dodger "Blue" in the stands but last night I sure saw ALOT of Brown, Yellow and White......Go Padres !!!

It's been good to see the stadium packed again. I went to the game vs Mets when DeGrom was pitching. It was not packed but the crowd was still pretty active. There is a lot of excitement around this team.

I was saying in another thread, for being what we thought was a "throw in", Cronenworth has been phenomenal. A great pick up/choice by Preller and the scouting staff here in SD. Its not often that someone gets the better of TAM in a trade, this one sure looks good in SD direction.
Pham is better than Renfroe, Cronenworth at this time is more important to SD ML team than Edwards. Though it would be nice to have Margot instead of Profar IMO.

What are the chances Blake Snell has his best outing of the season tonight?
We really need him too.
If he can just go 6 less than 3 runs(quality start) I’d be happy.

And Snell at 79 pitches already, just out of the 4th.
Still, has a chance to get through 5....or 4 and a 1/3...

Snell has only allowed 2 hits and no runs…..yet still so frustrating to watch pitch.
You would think he would every once in awhile luck into a 7 pitch inning?
But nope…every inning is 20 pitches.

Padres win the series but can they get the sweep ?
How sweet would that be to take three from the Dodgers in June at Petco ?

LOL....My boy Jake does it again(11)......3 HR in 3 games against the Dodgers in this series and then Manny follows up with his own right behind him (12)....back to back jacks off of Bauer.....Love it.
Hopefully NoNo Joe can go deep into the game and the Padres add on......to early to get the broom out but I know where it's at 🙂
