Have I mentioned lately how much I hate Chris Taylor?

Looks like you will get to bed early tonight.

I started getting ready when I saw they were bringing Perdomo in........lol
Now “this” would be a good game to get Stammen a couple more innings.

j/k

Paddack was way off today .... no fastball command. Plus Perdomo was Perdomo.

Home Runs just flying. Ugly.

Last night was no Bueno!

I was excited for half an inning.

Any other pitcher other than Paddack gets sent down after the effort last night ?

The margin for error seems to be a sliding scale for different pitchers

As much as I enjoy Paddack, he just doesn't seem to have the makeup of a number 1.

He's got great stuff but when he's not on, he doesn't seem to have the bullbdog mentality you'd expect to see in a 1( a la Kevin Brown). Granted, he is still extremely young so maybe he can become the mental monster you need to be dominant.

Lamet seems to have that attitude. And stuff!

Not trying to be a pain in the a.., but Paddack's line againist the bums, now lookes like this:

W L  ERA    G   GS    IP      H  R  ER  HR

1    2    6.94  5      5   23.1   25   21  18   8

Is one of the things that really frustrated me about AGon, he also struggled against the Dodgers, that for me is a no no, if you are a San Diego Padre, that is the one team that you have to bring it against, IMHO

I guess Paddack being a #1 is not all that critical for me ... more interested that he pitches as a legit upper rotation piece ... and maybe he develops further. Only 24 in his second season. Let Lamet be the #1 or Gore or Patino or .... don’t really care.

I think he has the focus ... more worried about command and a third pitch that is effective. Last season he was really nailed the corners which allowed him to get away with two pitches. Hitters are adapting at the same time his command has waved.

Yesterday was terrible against the best team in the NL (per consensus). In the previous 4 starts his ERA / WHIP were good (not great) but for a team that needs 5 ML SP ... that plays.
