Man, this is a rather jumbled bunch of players. I just can't see how management makes all this work i.e. who resigns, where do they play, no position players in the high minors to back fill, zero OF depth anywhere in organisation......but we do have pitching on the come! And lord knows we can't have enough of that.

A lot of moving parts before Arraez is a FA after 2025. First they have to address the FA after 2024 … Profar who has been the team’s best hitter so far and Kim the team’s only legitimate defensive SS. Then at the same time as  Arraez they have to deal with FA after 2025 of Cease and King.

So I am guessing no on signing Arraez to a long term deal that should be an upper level AAV. His skills are limited to being a singles hitter and that is not going to carry the club if Manny, Tatis, Bogaerts, and Croney don’t hit but if they do his hitting is needed less than players for other future needs … OF, SS, pitching.

I am more inclined to trying to re-sign Kim and Profar (mid length deals) to make a run in 2025 then let Azzaez, Cease, and King walk (or get traded if 2025 goes poorly) after 2025. Hope pitching prospects develop and the contracted hitters hit.

Nice to see FTJ smoking the baseball the past few games. The worms have been given a reprieve at Petco!

And Peralta, although glacier like slow, looks to have at least a little life left. Ride him to the end!

He got burned by a few walks and some hard hit ground balls that found holes and got behind then things went downhill from there.

This experience will be good for him but we need Darvish back and quick.
