Padres vs Brewers (5/24-27)

PreviousPage 2 of 3Next

A *VERY* nice win tonight!

I have a friend who calls Cronenworth "Superman" ... and he played a bit like it tonight 🙂

And yet another bit hit from Caratini!

Pham did the job at leadoff (3 times on base!  SB!)

And, obviously, outstanding pitching!

I guess we should give Pham some kudos for his game yesterday after a season of negative reviews. He played well offensively and defensively.

Also, should note that in his past 7 games he has a slash line of: 273/467/591 ... maybe ... just maybe ... he is finally getting into his normal production level.

Tatis will hit #14

When he hit that Sac fly I thought he had it....but it was off the end of the bat.

Any word as to why Nola is not catching? Day game after a night game and Weathers pitching.

Interesting to see the look on Weathers father's face after his son was pinch hit for.

Dave obviously thought Ryan had more gas in the tank, guy on 2nd with 2 outs be damned.

At least if you're going to pinch hit for Weathers, put in a run producer. Machado really isn't of use in the field just yet ( if he were, he'd be out there) whereas Mateo is multi functional.

Be surprised if we win this one. Team looks totally out of whack: Profar swinging first pitch with Pham on the run, Pham getting picked then not staying in the pickle long enough to allow Cronenworth to get to 2nd, pulling Weathers and NOT using Machado, Tatis missing the grounder THEN throwing it to the backstop,.....

I guess we can't win them all....unless we regain our composure really quick!

For you guys who watch them often, are we generally fundamentally sound? Or are we kind of all over the place and pull it all together long enough to win?

It's nice to have the leagues best record whichever way it is and long may it last!

Go Pads!

Well....I guess our composure has returned!

Hosmer 2 run HR!!!

Pads up 3-2

I've got the MLB app loaded on my Samsung so get to watch today's afternoon game.

It's free today.

Padres never seem to fold and keep battling to the end.

That's why I'm surprised he pulled Weathers.

Playing for 1 run in the 4th? Seems like he didn't have faith in his offense?
