Watching baseball gets even more complicated with today's game on Apple TV and Sunday's on Peacock.

Worried that this is the early start of a worrisome trend. Streaming services paying the league premium money for exclusive rights to select games and knocking out the local coverage.
Maybe it makes more money for the league but if that gets out of hand ... not sure what that does to the local fanbase ... everyone is not going to subscribe to all the varied premium services just to watch selected games from their home team.
Follow the money and could see the playoffs get bid out of the normal mix of Fox/NBC/etc. and get split up among the premium subscription services. The competition among the subscription services is getting hot and heavy for premium content and they do have the money to bid high.
Same trend has occurred in the US coverage of European Football ... where the Spanish league and the German league and most of the English league have all shifted to premium subscription platforms ... all different I think.
A bad trend for fans who neither have the money or motivation to subscribe to multiple services.

Anyone know how to get this game without Apple TV?
Plus I’m blacked out in Georgia on MLB.TV as well.
Anyone have a link to a stream?

Was able to get it on Apple TV after all.
Being in Ga. Thought I’d be blacked out.

Not 100% sure since I have Apple TV through some promotion from a while back. I think the game is supposed to be free if you download the app though.

They explain how to get Apple TV for this game for free on the Padres’ website. Not sure about the Peacock+ for Sunday.
