Where exactly are you ?
I’m in SE Ga but travel to the mountains every summer for vacation…my Son is at UGA,and plan to retire in 2-3 years to the N Ga Mountains.
Ellijay,Dahlonega,Clayton,Blairsville all options.
Blairsville…Lake Notteley is about 200 yards away and the fishing is great. I’m about 7 miles from the Tennessee/North Carolina state line so I have fishing licenses for all three states plus California, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming…I love to fish 😃

Know right where that is.
We went tubing on the Notteley River once.
Looked it up online and it was just some guys Farm with tubes & he drove us up to bridge and dropped us off and left.
Was on the River for 3 hours….thought we had passed his place and we were panicked for awhile.
Funny now….wasn't so funny then.

We’re staying on lake Chatuge in Hiawassee next month for a week when we take our Son back to Athens.
Have you ever been to Helton Creek Falls?
One of our favorite places….kids love to swim up under the waterfall.

Good Cease in the building today! Shame he can't go at least 7.
And it seems David Peralta has a little bit left in the tank after all! Not sure what his numbers are since FTJ went down but they must be better than his first few months here?

Padres win! Dodgers lose.
Cease was outstanding today going 6 IP and 11 K. The Padres snap a 5-game losing streak and win the season series vs. the Braves. On the mound tomorrow is Vasquez vs Sale. I hope Vasquez is on top of his game.

It does not make sense to sit Arraez, who has been one of the team's best hitters, and David Peralta, who has been hot, the day before the All-Star break.
On top of that Shildt takes out Vasquez after 5 IP, giving up only 2 ER on 73 pitches. Vasquez was pitching a good game. I know many, if not all on this forum, will not agree me, but I don't think Shildt is a good manager, just average.
Here is a tidbit: Nolan Ryan pitched 27 seasons when there was no pitch count.

Arraez is dealing with a thumb injury. He's skipping the All-Star game to give it some rest. Arraez and Peralta are both significantly worse hitters against lefties.
With the full bullpen available headed into a break I don't really blame Shildt for turning to it. Kolek had been pretty good for the last month or so. I'm pretty indifferent to Shildt, but I don't have any problem with his decisions today.
