Padres vs Braves April 6-9

There is no way Crismatt and Hill should ever be used in anything other than mop up duty for the rest of the season.  Melvin has to know better.  Oh, and Soto is also on my $hit list.  Start proving yourself or get traded at the deadline.

I don't want to overreact to any poor performances 7 games into the season, but I'll definitely feel better when Suarez gets back.

Crismatt 3 outings ..3 horrible outings.. is concerning..his 88mph stuff has to be perfect for him to be efficient and right now he just pitching batting practice.. a lot worse than how Hill started 2022..

16+ ERA 3.30 WHIP could be tolerated after ONE disaster of an outing... but he has been terrible all 3 times

If Dahl doesn't turn a pretty routine out into a double one of those horrible outings is a clean inning. He's got about 150 mostly good innings over the past few seasons that suggest he should be much better. Early bad outings for a reliever are always going to stand out more.

Plus, Crismatt didnt have a normal Spring due to the WBC. I am sure he will bounce back soon, and be his regular self.

Big bounce back WIN today... Honeywell absolutely saved the day and has been terrific so far...

All the walks are stressing me out, but that was definitely a good win today.

Yeah I hate BBs.. I'd rather have a pitcher throw one of them 45 mph 12 to 6 batting practice curves (like Bartolo back in the day) than walk someone ..seems like 90% of the time those fluke pitches end up in a lazy fly ball to LF or RF.. BBs kill my soul

Sounds like there's a pretty good chance that today's game is cancelled and they play a double header tomorrow.

Well we need the day off after multiple inning outings by Wilson/Honeywell/Tapia/Garcia.. so not the worst thing for us..

Is the taxi squad double header thing still a thing? We could use a Felipe/Cosgrove arm for an inning or 2 right about now... Wacha and Lugo aren't exactly inning eaters but both went deep 1st time out.. after Yu 5..Snell 3+ and Nick 4+.. last 3 starts..we need 6 and 6 from these 2....

When Musgrove comes back.. we have a decision to make.. and mine would be Crismat DFA.. and Martinez taking his BP role of long/setup and Closer on occasion back.. Nick>Crismat and most versatile BP arm we have.. and we can still run 6 SP.. Yu/Snell/Musgrove/Wacha/Lugo/Weathers .. we could also move Ryan to the BP and keep Martinez in the SP rotation a bit longer... BUT Ryan has looked >Nick as a SP small sample or not.. next couple of starts by both(and appearances by Nabil) could determine which direction AJP/BoMel decide to go..
