Padres vs A's Series Thread
Quote from 3fingersplit on June 18, 2018, 8:35 pmSo the A's come into town for a quick 2 game series....they come into Petco with a even 36-36 record - .500 ball
The Padres come home with a 34-40 record - .459 ball
The A's have Paul Blackburn on the hill Tuesday....24 yr old with a 1-1 record and a 11.05 Era vs Eric Lauer...23 yr old - 3-4 record with a 6.20 Era
This should be interesting, two young guys trying to get it going
Second game is Frankie Montas for the A's...25 yr old with a 3-1 record and a .267 era....27 innings pitched and given up 27 hits
vs Tyson Ross -31 yr old - 5-4 with a 3.51 era....82 innings pitched with 82 Strikeouts
I give it to the Padres to get both of these at home before going back on the road....getting closer to a .500 record and wouldn't that be nice to be there or close to it by the All-Star Break
Go Pads !!!

Quote from Booster SD on June 20, 2018, 1:50 pmI know its Luchessi's first game back; however, it is games like yesterday and today that show just how far we still have to go still. Last night, we only got 2 runs of a SP with an ERA north of 11, and today we are getting shut out again. Its coming, its coming, and its close but not quite there yet.

Quote from 3fingersplit on June 20, 2018, 10:43 pmWell that 2 game series pretty much sucked....even the most ardent Padre fan can't sugar coat or spin this one but I'll try.....
Bryan Mitchell was placed on the 10 day DL for a right elbow impingement.....soon to be the 60 day is my guess
