I know when I first heard of this maybe 4 years ago the idea was to spread some money around to struggling minor leaguers who may never make it to the bigs.I'm sure the guys who came up with this idea are trying to get rich as well....but I tend to hold out hope they aren't completely predatory and not only "helping" those who they are sure they can profit off of.
