Page 1 of 2Next

Game 1 Tuesday July 2nd 5:05 pm PDT

SD Dylan Cease vs TEX Nathan Eovaldi

Game 2 Wednesday July 3rd 5:05 pm PDT

SD Adam Mazur vs TEX Jon Gray

Game 3 Thursday July 4th 11:35 am PDT

SD Michael King vs TEX Max Scherzer

This series should be a good one with good pitching…Cease vs Eovaldi , Mazur vs Gray and King vs Scherzer…gotta be swinging the bats every game.

Go Padres !!!

We've had some big moments against the Rangers the past few years. The Rangers seem to be suffering from the classic World Series hangover. They've got to be one of the biggest disappointments this season. It looks like Corey Seager will miss at least part of the series. Scherzer seems like he's still getting built up a bit too. They've lost 6 of their last 7. It seems like a good time to catch them.

Okay, that's 2 stinkers in a row.

Will this be another 5 game slide where we do absolutely zero offensively( as has become our MO)?

Or do we finally break the cycle tomorrow and come out swinging as if our season depends on it?

Can we bring up Camarena to PH tomorrow?

🙂

Really nice job by the bullpen to pick up Mazur after another rough start. David Peralta shut us all up for the night at least. Props to him. Nice win for the boys.

I think the most surprised guy in the game yesterday was Peralta when he hit that HR…he was running hard until he saw the ball go out and regardless of what his overall performance has been to date he gave a very good lesson to his teammates about not jogging and watching a hard hit ball. He was running hard to get himself into scoring position in a tie ballgame so props to Peralta.

Today will be a good test for this team…the worst they can do is split this road-trip with a 3-3 record although 4-2 would be better before coming home to face the Dbacks in a series that could really put some distance between our Padres and the Dbacks. San Diego has the 5th best run differential in the NL with a +29 and are behind the Phillies +125, Dodgers +112, Brewers +78, Braves +53

Gotta just keep swinging the bats

Go Padres !!!

Merrill all the way up to 3rd in the lineup today with Jake out. Jake is 0-17 against Scherzer.

Man what a game for LF defense.

The Rangers played some incredible defense to keep it close and it didn't matter. Tough day at the plate for Kim. He could have easily been 4-4. Another well earned win for the boys.
