12 hits, 8 walks, 4 HRs, 7 runs and somehow they still managed to go 0-9 with RISP. 14 runs in the last 2 games while going 1-19. This team is going to be hard to beat once they start cashing in on those opportunities a little more regularly.

Weathers is the definition of a tough luck pitcher.
8 hopper…..bloop single…E9….Passed ball….2 base throwing error.
Dude can’t catch break.
But,he’s shown me enough that I feel pretty comfortable with him as our #4 in 24’.
He still won’t even be 24 until around Christmas.

Yup.. his last 2 starts Defense has been off behind him.. This game could have easily been 3-1 or 3-0... but their balls found holes at 79.1 exit velo... and ours found gloves at 90+

He making easier for the Padres to move on from one of the more costly Snell, Wacha, Lugo, Martinez … all four could be around $16MM each while Weathers will be minimum. Opens up money to upgrade CF, C, DH.
