Any word on our pitching plan today?

Any word on our pitching plan today?

Think they are going with Waldron.

Cool.

With(perceived?) financial restraints going into the winter, I want to see as many guys as possible get a chance. Avila, Waldron, Batten, Profar, Azocar, Sullivan, Rosario all need reps to see if they're in next years plan. Outside of Tatis, Campusano, and Kim, I'm happy to see everyone else sit for the last 20 games.

Oh, just curious but how many home grown players does Houston have on their roster?

I believe there is a Patrick Henry High alumnus's( Mike Hensley) whose son David is on the Astros?

Probably will get your wish pretty soon. Pretty close to being mathematically eliminated but maybe in somewhat a spirit of competitive balance ... might want to go with the "starters" against teams in the battle for playoff slots / playoff position. Once past HOU maybe no longer an issue since LAD seem to be cruising to the #2 slot.

Soon we should hear that Darvish and Musgrove are just being shut down and a good chance Machado (who has the elbow issue that may / will require offseason surgery) gets also shut down. Likely we see Avila and Waldron getting starts to the end of the season (not going to be R.Hill and nothing to bring up from the minors this late).

The exception to looking at the bench guys is when Snell pitches. Expect they will want to do everything to help Snell get his Cy Young and run out the best defense / offense to support him. That does more than boost Snell's resume ... it should be a positive to the rest of the players (especially the ones who will return) knowing that the organization has support of the player's successes.

So, they get bases loaded 1 out, 1st and 3rd no out, and don´t get a single run, then the Astros go single, SB, advance on a throwing error and score on a pass ball and get a run, honestly I felt better in freakin 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 awful run

Just a plain ugly performance by the Padres. Going to be a tough winter trying to fix this roster.
