Someone was going to start this...
If there was ever a time to have Caratini catch 3 days in a row, this series would be it. But I think they might have Campusano catch Weathers; should be very familiar from most season @ Alt site last year. Caratini needs to catch Snell.
If Lamet really starts 1st game vs Brewers, it sets up well for Caratini to always catch: Darvish, Snell, Musgrove. With Campusano getting Lamet (basically 2 pitches) and either Paddack (basically 2 pitches) or Weathers (familiar). 60/40 split till Nola back. Really same as now, but pairing Caratini with Snell might help Blake a lot.

Left-hander Ryan Weathers, the Padres’ No. 5 prospect (No. 93 overall) per MLB Pipeline, is scheduled to make his first Major League start, and he’ll be thrown right into the deep end of the pool against Walker Buehler and the Dodgers.

Dodgers' lineup tonight is resting Seager and Betts and Lux ... and, obviously, Bellinger is out of the lineup (expected back tomorrow, is what I'm hearing) ... so it would seem that they are "looking past" the Rockies to the Padres' series 🙂

Cody Bellinger is very unlikely to be activated from the IL for the San Diego series. His calf is still problematic, especially in some dynamic positions

Hairline fracture in his leg, MLBTR is saying that he could be out for awhile.

Weathers needs to stay in the rotation....maybe even when Lamet returns.

We already had a guy in scoring position.....hate it.
