2026 Padres Draft Possibilities

Who do you think is a realistic option for this year's first-round pick for the Padres?

I know Brody Bumila (LHP from MA), Logan Schmidt (LHP from CA), and Logan Reddemann (RHP from UCLA) are a few names that come up.

What would be your ideal selection for the Pads this year?

Hoping for Bumila, who fits their draft profile for the last two years, but more likely end up with Schmidt.  Some concern about Reddemann's health but he would be a steal with the 21st pick.  Padres rarely draft a position player with their first pick and one you get past the top 10 picks, value looks to be in pitchers.

No reason to think Preller will deviate from form ... therefore go for a HS prospect ... likely a pitcher ... likely a LHP for where he is drafting.

The only things that could rattle that is what happens ahead of him in the draft and the level of pool money for the Padres. Think since they are over the CBT they have picks lowered and in turn less pool to play with.
