Wow.... that's fairly brutal.
In no universe is Max Muncy even in the same peripheral as Manny Machado. What a joke.
Maybe Nando not getting a nod is because he played 2B too much?
Kid definitely wants to be back on the dirt. I wouldn't be surprised if he was our starting SS or 2B next year( Preller needs to earn his keep and try to dump both Bogaerts and Cronenworth)
We traded 4 of our better prospects for absolutely zero help this year. I can see AJ trading our top prospects( read: Schoolcraft and Borthwick) to dump Xander.

I wouldn’t waste my time thinking about trading Bogarts. He will be 35 and will be owed $175 million over the next seven years. No team is going to take that on even if the Padres gave them their entire farm system. Frankly, he is still an Average shortstop so that is serviceable. What would an average 35 year-old shortstop? Make us a free agent. Lucky to get a one year deal.
As for Cronenworth, sort of the same thinking on the open market at his age, not gonna generate what he has as the remainder of his contract.
If you traded them both at the price they could command and what you would have to eat you wouldn’t have anything left to get a decent replacement. Better off with him than without them.
