2024 Postseason
Quote from Jeremy Hill on October 2, 2024, 2:17 pmI figured we could use a thread to talk about all of the non-Padres games. Seeing Hader give up a bases clearing double that will likely send the Astros home brought a smile to my face.

Quote from ultratvfan on October 2, 2024, 3:13 pmIf the Padres reach the NLCS and if the Mets or Brewers also reach it, which of those two teams would you want to see them face and have a best chance against? IMO, the Brewers, who I will be rooting for in the wild card.

I don't think either of those teams will beat the Phils. I'm hoping for a rematch vs the Phils.

Quote from WindsorUK on October 2, 2024, 11:59 pmAt what point does MLB change their seeding format?
Should the Mets beat Milwaukee, you'll have the 6 seed playing the 2 seed, while the 1 seed takes on the 4 seed.
This system renders the regular season useless. The team with the best record should be rewarded every step of the way( I hate the Duds but they were the league's best team)
Give the division winners their due in the initial seeding but then go to best vs. worse for the rest of the way.

Plus, the NFL already re-seeds after each round, so it is not a unique idea to professional sports leagues. I agree with the re-seeding format, but I'd rather play the Dog-ers than before the Phillies, at least this year. Go Pads!
