Does sound like a Preller guy … HS pitcher with upside.
The player I am intrigued about is Cole Carrigg out of San Diego State (#32 on the MLB draft prospect rankings). He appears to be on the rise after last season and the Cape Cod league. 6’3 / 190 and can play CF / SS / C all well. Switch hitter. Above average grades in Hit (always something I look for), base running / speed, and arm. Not a power guy.
If he is there at the late 1st round for the Padres … given the routes he could take to the ML … could be both a quality and safe pick. Basically he fits into the top three up the middle value roles.
Maybe a bigger Craig Biggio from days gone by … catcher / center fielder / 2B in the ML and an All-Star. Too early to make that comp but the raw profile fits.

Like the dude from DBacks (Varsho)... oh I like that and College bat means quicker path to MLB and less risk...
