The last full week of May featured big offensive production from Fernando Tatis Jr. in San Antonio and Buddy Reed in Lake Elsinore, and strong starting pitching in Fort Wayne. As always, we featured all of it in our Daily Wrap-Ups.

Here’s what else was going on:

Player Profiles and Interviews

You like offense? We’ve got offense! Kevin talked with Buddy Reed about his turn-around this year at the plate and on the basepaths. Josh Naylor answered David’s questions about his approach change this year, the adjustment to left field, and proving doubters wrong.

You like pitching? Travis profiled first-year lefty Nick Margevicius, who has added a new pitch and is putting in work to maximize his preparation.

Media Appearances

Travis made his debut with an appearance on XTRA 1360’s Mark & Rich show to talk MacKenzie Gore‘s blister on Tuesday. Expect to hear more of him in the coming months. Travis appears at about the 36:50 mark.

David went on The Mighty 1090 to discuss his trip to San Antonio and other system topics with Craig Elsten and Andrew Burer Friday as they pinch-hit for Darren Smith. Not surprisingly, they focused in on Fernando Tatis Jr. and Josh Naylor, with some discussion of the Allen Boys.

As always, we appreciate our subscribers, whose small investments make our on-site coverage and in-depth reporting on the system possible. Join them now as we get ready for post-draft coverage and the start of short-season ball.
