Figured we could use a thread for this. I'm bouncing back and forth between the Dominican Republic vs Nicaragua and the US vs Brazil. I can't imagine what it's like to be Joseph Contreras. Coming out of the bullpen to face the US lineup as a 17 year old has to be a wild experience.

Word is DeRosa thought the US had already clinched so he sat Harper/Bregman/Turang yesterday…..that and the guys celebrated into the wee hours the night before.Also,he was about to bring Kershaw in for the 9th when someone finally told him the runs matter even if they lose so he brought in Miller instead.

Was dumbfounded when I saw the lineup for the last US game. Now we know why. Literally admitted that team took win vs Italy for granted today too. Where is Buck Showalter when you need him?

Japan has the pitching, which usually wins out against the slugging. I'd put my money on Japan.

DR has a lot of pitching as well, they come out on top this year.
