Quote from Alex Tamayo on August 3, 2025, 8:17 pmIf they don't need Cortes until Wednesday, why did they call him up today? Instead could've called a bullpen pitcher for two games and then do that on Wednesday morning, probably no big deal, just curious about AJ And company process thought.

My guess is since MILW sent him on his rehab on Jul 2 ... the 30 day max expired and he needed to be pulled off the 60 day and activated. Has no minor league options so on the 26 man or released?

Plus if you call up a BP arm for 2 days and then send him back down he’s unavailable again for ……..10 days?
Or is it 15?
Not a huge deal but don’t want to burn one if don’t need to

Think 15 days for pitchers.

Quote from MrPadre19 on August 4, 2025, 11:32 amWe need the bats to give us a decent lead so we can use Peralta and Matsui for 2-3 innings tonight
If Sears can go 5+....and we have a 3+ run lead would be ideal

Quote from Alex Tamayo on August 4, 2025, 8:23 pmSo our new 4.95 ERA guy is pitching worse than that, and their 5+ ERA guys is pitching like a top SP? Anybody knows what Is the deal with Pfaadt? It appears every team in the league hits him, but our Pads.

Quote from brent wolff on August 4, 2025, 8:25 pmFermin looks like the real deal, nice stick and threw a seed to second tonight for a caught stealing to get L. Gurriel. It is going to be nice to have a solid backstop for the first time in a long time. It was costly to acquire him, giving up both Bergert & Kolek, but think history will show it was a win for the Pads (hopefully). Sears struggled tonight, at least the first 4 innings. Nieabla has some work to do with him. Go Pads!
