Weathers really settled down and pitched well.. ill take 5IP 2 Runs every start of his..

Honeywell looked good too.. just made 2 mistakes ..one left the park and one got caught on a solid Azocar play... he can be our long guy

Wilson gave one up too.. But found out he had a 1.18 ERA at Petco in 2022.. which was 3rd lowest home ERA of any reliever in baseball (as a rookie no less)..

This offense and Bench has a lot of promise.. if guys like Kim and Dahl are hitting back to back bombs to walk off games..

Weathers threw 5 good innings and given the fact most people didn’t see him on the roster much less starting he threw great and if he can get dialed in this starting rotation will be nails…Got to see Lugo yesterday and he was crisp

Melvin pushed the right buttons tonight sending Dahl up to pinch hit…he dialed long distance and ties it up and then Ha Soeng Kim just smoked that ball and it was a no doubter…petco went crazy

Now they need to get the game tomorrow before they head off to Atlanta…I’ll get blow by blow reports from Atlanta from my son who is driving down from blairsville Georgia with his wife to catch the game…she will have her Braves jersey on and my son will be rocking his padres brown pinstripes…bragging rights 😃

I was watching the Padres on my phone with the Aztecs on the TV. I thought Weathers was headed to an early exit, but he did a nice job to settle in and get thru 5 with a big assist from Manny. Between Manny's knock off the bag and the 9th inning magic it seems like the baseball gods were with us tonight. It was a nice little pick me up after the Aztecs loss.
